🗣️ The Main talk, led by the president of the school, Enrique Serrano, is entitled “New Data Economy: AI Act, Sandbox, AESIA and Data Spaces”. According to the European Data Market study, the data economy in Spain had a value equivalent to 2.5% of the national GDP in 2019, and it is estimated that for the 2025, this value may represent more than 4% of Spanish GDP, provided that the right legal, political and funding environment is created, which highlights the importance of data in the economy.
No one doubts data as a fundamental asset for companies anymore. Analyzing and processing them correctly will lead us to generate competitive advantages. Data spaces in general, and initiatives such as Gaia-X in particular, are the key elements to achieve the objectives of the European strategy, serving to promote ecosystems that create new products and services based on more accessible data. In this session, we will discuss how the application of new techniques and technologies mark a new playing field with the appearance of new players: AI Act, Sandbox, AESIA and Data Spaces.
👩 💼 After the presentation we will give way to a Debate table under the title”Women in Data: Inspiration for New Generations”, in which three former students with extensive experience in the data and AI sector will participate. On the occasion of International Women's Day, Ángela Llama, Eva Hurtado and Laura Sánchez they will tell us about their professional experiences, from their inception to the present, as well as the projects in which they are participating. In addition, they will discuss the impact of AI and data analytics on the business environment, the labor market and talent management.
