MBIT DATA School

MBIT School It's 8 years old, and a lot has changed since we started. The event MBIT Reload What we had in October was the first face-to-face event since 2019, in which we were able to celebrate the new phase that we started in this 22/23 academic year.

“We have done a Reset Skilling, with new programs, new image, renovated cloister... And now we are present in 8 countries,” he said Enrique Serrano, president of MBIT. There is no doubt that in this new phase we reinforce our hallmark: being the best and most specialized in Big Data and Artificial Intelligence applied, with agreements with the Ricardo Valle Innovation Institute, Indesia, Ametic, GAIA X or the Barcelona Supercomputing Center; and exceeding the 4,000 students who are already part of this small MBIT population, the Data Community.

In addition, thanks to our guests, we were able to take a look at the current situation in the world of data, the community that is being formed, opportunities that are being generated, and how companies, technology and training are changing.

Where is the community evolving?

Ángel Niño, Deputy Councillor for Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the Madrid City Council and former student of MBIT School, commented on the present and future of Artificial Intelligence and that “communities of data experts are needed to debate and influence public administrations, companies and the social environment.”

For this reason, the councilor praised the MBIT School renovation project, called “The Data Community”, where thousands of data experts will now be able to interact in a pioneering alumni club concept, called Data Warriors Squad. In this space you can keep up to date technically, attend talks and networking meetings, or answer questions about your personal data projects. And that's just part of MBIT's renewed focus.

What is this approach?

To explain the new MBIT “core”, he accompanied us Daniel Morón, the General Director of MBIT School. I commented on how this approach is so important for the development of the Data Community, which is divided into 3 areas:

  • Talent Factory. Access the best niche positions in the industry.

We are a technical school that is committed to a practical approach in which you will have your hands in the dough right from the start. You will develop a portfolio of real cases with which to face the reality of the labor market and stand out in your interviews. We constantly update our training to be at the forefront of the market thanks to analytics and AI, continuously tracking thousands of technical jobs. Don't settle for a degree that can expire as soon as you graduate.

  • Industry Insiders. Succeed in your professional career.

We select teachers because of their real capacity to implement data science projects, backed by their technical skills and their ability to communicate that know-how to our student community. You will increase your employability in a highly demanded sector and you can rely on the MBIT Talent Coach to guide your professional profile wherever you decide.

  • Data Journey. Stay up to date on new techniques and technologies.

We help you to start your personal Data Journey, to plan and expand your professional career, updating your knowledge and applied technologies. Share unforgettable moments at our central headquarters on Serrano Street in Madrid or on the online campus. You will live a path of transformation adapted to your starting point, where you will feel accompanied in your future projects, since you will remain connected with MBIT to answer your questions through the Data Warriors Squad Club: Your secret weapon to confidently execute data projects in your company.

How to take advantage of a lack of talent?

“Cloud architects and data engineers are charging $180,000 in the US,” he said Isaac Hernández, Country Manager of Google Cloud Iberia. He gave us the keys to how a lack of talent is affecting the labor market and what opportunities we can get out of it:

-Very high demand in companies

-Few qualified professionals

-Highly rated profiles

We were able to learn about Google's data region in the Community of Madrid, and the importance and evolution of cloud technology. “In 10 years, all companies will be in the cloud, and if it doesn't happen before, it's due to a lack of talented data experts. MBIT's work is super key, because the need is so high,” said Isaac.

At MBIT School, we feel completely aligned with Isaac's message, and with tools such as Talent Factory we try to reduce that gap by connecting students to what companies are demanding. Discover this tool at: www.mbitschool.com/talent-factory

Why is there so much demand?

For Adolfo Menéndez, director of the Repsol Data School, “all employees must be trained in Data.” He emphasized the need for many companies to train and manage digital talent. He told us about Repsol's project to train all its employees with tools and technologies from the data world, analyzing and identifying different roles depending on their area and position of work.

More and more companies in all sectors need:

-Adapt quickly to new technological environments.

-Encourage decision-making based on data.

-Hire and retain experts in very specific areas such as data governance, artificial intelligence or cloud architecture.

For this reason, at MBIT we constantly analyze the labor market to adapt our courses, tools and content according to real demands, and thus solve the notable lack of talent that companies have. Take a look at our courses: www.mbitschool.com/itineraries
